Sugar and Spice are taking naps right now… I had to sneak into my creative room to post these pictures of the neighbors for Michelle’s Weekly Pet Challenge this week.
This is Paco and Poncho, the horses that live right behind our house. They are frequent visitors and are always looking for a handout of carrots or, maybe an apple! Sugar and Spice are jealous of them and bark at them the entire time they come to get their treats.
Paco is the dun-colored horse on the left. The big red guy is Poncho. He is the greedy one and always pushes Paco out of the way.
This is why we named this opening, “The Horse Hole.”
Glad you stopped by to see the neighbors. Always a pleasure to see you all,
Silver Threading

Stunning pictures of beautiful horses. I wished we had a Horse Hole like that…that would be marvellous 😀 Pawkisses 🙂
They are the best neighbors too! ♡
Wow, I love your photos. The one in the middle is especially eye catching. Thank you so much for taking part <3
Thank you ♡
Nice to meet you and many thanks for the follow. 🙂
Good to meet you too.
What lovely neighbors — I would enjoy having some as my neighbor!!
Thank you!
I think Toby would be much the same as Sugar and Spice, Colleen. Where there are treats involved, he gets very jealous if he is either left out or is not first in line for the treats being given out. I’m not so sure he would tackle the horses though – too big for him.
Poncho will put his large red nose down over the fence and Spice will sniff him barking all the time. They think they are big dogs! Sometimes I give Spice a bit of carrot then she is better.
Nice neigh-bors!
(Sorry, couldn’t resist!)
LOL! They are very cool!
I LOVE horses 😀 My grandfather had a stable in the Bronx, but we almost never went there 🙁 I have some VERY vivid memories of it though! lol Nice pics, Colleen 🙂
Glad you enjoyed! ♡
Love it 🙂
They’re beautiful <3 We have a mare grazing in the next garden, sometimes, it's such a pleasant sight to see her 🙂
Thank you 🙂
Wow! I love horses! I wish I lived next door to some 🙂 Thanks for sharing your pretty photos!
You are welcome!
Very nice post Colleen 😉
Thank you Irene. They are really sweet horses 🙂
That must be so cool to have next door! That is, unless they’re not potty trained and walk on your lawn. 😉
No the fence stops them so I have free pets. I enjoy the heck out of being able to pet them and feed them. Sugar and Spice have a fit! Always fun around here! 🙂
