Short and poignantly bittersweet. Lovely image; lovely imagery. <3
Thank you ♡
What a beautiful image! It’s quite vivid with your “contours of a broken heart.” The picture has a lot of texture, like an oil painting…I can almost feel the wind there… And I got to learn about “Tanka” poetry and glittery text too! Thanks 🙂
I took the picture this summer. It is right out back off our patio. We call it the “horse hole.” The neighbor horses stick their heads over and beg for carrots. The fog gets really thick here in Pensacola. Glad you liked it.
I love the image “contours of a broken heart”.
Thank you. I love the one word challenges. I tried to think of every way to say shape.
Lovely poem 😀
Thank you kindly.
You are welcome ~
very wonderful shapes!
Thanks for your kind words!
I enjoyed your unique take on this prompt, and loved the imagery.
Thank you. You made my day!
You’re welcome!
Oh I love this, it gave me goosebumps reading it. 🙂
Thank you 🙂
You’re very welcome. 😊
Thank you so much!
You have an incredible gift, I’m learning so much more about poetry through WP. You inspire me to share my own. 💗
Thank you! Please pursue that passion for words. You will be amazed at what flows from your soul! It is liberating! ♡
Thank you I feel the urge to create, spin, and express. Truly liberating indeed. 💗
Wonderful! Go for it!
Thank you for your encouragement. I will. 😃🎉💓
So that’s Tanka? Been wondering about that…
5/7/5/7/7 = 5 lines, with the syllables listed. A bit longer than a Haiku. 🙂
Very nice shapes! I noticed the image and text overlay were both flashing alternately in the email post on Google. At least, I thought it was part of the “shape” theme, but then I see that doesn’t do this here in WordPress Reader (just a Gmail quirk, I guess).
I used Fotoflexer to add my Tanka poem to the picture I took out behind our house this summer of the fog. You can find fotoflexer at http://fotoflexer.com/. I actually had the text “glittery” to mimic the fog. Hope it works on my website. Thank you.
Actually I guess it did have a glittery effect in the email post but not in WP Reader, although the flashing was a bit distracting. Thanks for Fotoflexer link.
Sorry about the distraction. It looks right on my website. The reader is not the best I know. Fotoflexer is fun! I use my own photos and add my Haiku and Tanka. Enjoy
