A New Neighbor

I was so excited yesterday when our new neighbor showed up looking  at us through the now infamous, “Horse-Hole.”  He is a black pony that the neighbors recently acquired.

2014-11-10 11.46.01

He was eager to eat some of the carrots that the other two horses get and finally stuck his head over the fence.  While eating his carrots, he let me pet his velvety nose.  I talked to him the whole time and his ears pricked up at my voice.

Finally Paco pushed the little one out of the way, demanding all the carrots for himself.

Sugar and Spice barked their heads off the whole time the neighbors were visiting!

Thanks for stopping by to see what I am up to today.  The neighborhood is quiet and back to normal again after all the commotion yesterday.

  3. Hey, I’ve seen you before. I wish we had such lovely neighbours 🙂 Pawkisses 🙂

  4. Wow! I love your neighbours. Love the pics. Thank you for your lovely entry 🙂

  5. Oh, such a sweet neighbor! 🙂

  6. You are so lucky to have horses living next door, Colleen. We have squirrels who have just about dug up all our Spring bulbs and eaten them, so no daffodils or tulips for us in the spring!

    • The horses are the perfect pets. All I have to do is feed them the occasional carrot or apple. When we lived in Montana we had squirrels everywhere. Spice was at war with them. She would wait until they buried their peanuts (someone in the neighborhood gave out peanuts) and then she would dig them up and eat them. Shell and all! To this day, that dog still loves peanuts. Bad news about your bulbs! Squirrels are just like vermin! 🙁

  7. I love these pics of your horse neighbors 🙂 One of them wouldn’t be named Ed, would he? 😉
