One Word Photo Challenge–Strawberry

Jennifer Nichole Wells One Word Photo color for the week is: strawberry!

Strawberry is one of my favorite shades of pink for flowers in the garden.  The deep rosy shade brightens even the dullest of days.

4.11.14 azaleas

Here are some azaleas in a strawberry color from last spring.  I always look forward to the brilliant shades of pinks and reds from the azaleas in Pensacola.  The whole city is awash in color.

Savanna 1st strawberry

Here is my Granddaughter Savanna, who loves strawberries.  She planted these last summer.  They have overtaken the entire flower bed now.  We should have a great feast this summer.

This is my flowering crab apple tree from my house in Montana.  I picked this tree because of the spectacular ‘strawberry’ colored blooms.

Thanks for stopping by today.  It is rainy and cool.

Have a magnificent Wednesday!

  1. Great choices, Colleen, and Strawberries are one of my favourite summer fruits. John grows them in our garden in pots and we get quite a big harvest out of them. Freshly picked, washed, and then eaten straight away is sheer delight. The imported ones we get here in the Winter don’t have the sweet taste, so we give them a miss.

      1. Oh my, you are going to be very, very busy. Where do you find all the time to read, work, write, paint, do the housework and look after Ron and Sugar and Spice? I think you could be ‘Wonder Woman’ – one twirl and everything is done 🙂

        1. I plan, and plan, and plan! Right now I am behind an article for LWI, behind a book review for LWI, behind an article for another blog, and I am tired. I just do as much as I can. I like to be busy. It keeps me out of trouble. I am going to start taking the weekends off so I can write my swamp fairies. ❤

  2. Good for you. Reminder, it’s suppose to be fun and don’t be afraid that you can’t always read other people’s post. They’ll understand and support you all the way.

I’m way behind on my book reviews and Lit World work, but I’ve been told not to worry about it by Ronovan and just to do what ever I can when I can. He’ll give you as much support as he has me, I’m sure.
