A Spread the LOVE Event

Spread the Love Challenge

My dear friend, Erika Kind asked me to participate in the Spread the Love Event.  This is a challenge, but it appears to be filled with an outlet for our creativity.  The whole idea is to write 10, four-word sentences about love, share our favorite quote or poem about love, and then ask other bloggers to participate in the event.  Hopefully, all the “LOVE” expressed will reverberate throughout the blogosphere sending ripples of good feelings and joy everywhere!

Here are my 10, four-word sentences about love:

Love should last forever.

I love your smile!

Through love mankind unites.

Love and friendship heal.

Love is eternal bliss.

Love can cause hatred.

I exist from love.

Love conquers some hurt.

Your love fulfills me.

Love should not hurt.

My favorite quote about love is dedicated to my wonderful husband, Ron:

Silver's LOVE

I would love to ask the following friends to help me spread all of this love around:

Patty Alcala

The Aran Artisan

Bittersweet Sensations

Reiki With Friends

An Arm Chair Perfectionist

Weird and Wonderful

Zen & Pi

Life – Half Glass Full

Down Home Thoughts

Silver in the Barn

This was a great opportunity to say that I appreciate all of the writers I follow.  I know many of you will be busy and not able to participate in this lovely event.  Just know that I appreciate all that you do!

Thanks for stopping by to see what I have been up to.  I enjoyed seeing all of you!

About Colleen M. Chesebro

Colleen M. Chesebro is an American Novelist & Poet who loves writing paranormal fantasy and magical realism, cross-genre fiction, syllabic poetry, and creative nonfiction. She loves all things magical which may mean that she could be experiencing her second childhood—or not. That part of her life hasn’t been fully decided yet. A few years ago, a mystical experience led her to renew her passion for writing and storytelling. These days she resides in the fantasy realm of the Faery Writer where she writes the magical poetry and stories that the fairy nymphs whisper to her in her dreams. Colleen won the “Little and Laugh” Flash Fiction Contest sponsored by the Carrot Ranch Literary Community on November 2017, and in 2018, she won first place for the “Twisted Travel” category. Colleen lives in Arizona with her husband. When she is not writing, Colleen enjoys spending time with her husband. She also loves gardening, reading, and crocheting old-fashioned doilies into works of art. Learn more about Colleen on colleenchesebro.com.

  3. Hello Colleen. Just catching up and what a surprise to see my blog listed here. This is a lovely event which I did participate in two weeks ago and really enjoyed. I hope you understand if I pass on doing it again. Thanks for including me and I hope you consider me for a future event/challenge as I am definitely one who loves them. How touching that your quote is dedicated to your husband, ‘love of your life’. Melissa Xx

  4. Thank you Colleen 🙂 This is something absolutely delightful!

  6. Love: 4 words are hard.
    Lets you be you.

  7. What a beautiful and heartfelt quote, Colleen. It’s one of the best I have heard. Would make such a lovely line in a poem or a song.

I can see you are spreading the blog love this weekend, but then you never stop doing so. That’s why so many of us here follow your blog. <3

May that tap that has love pouring out of it, never be turned off.

    • Hugh, thank you so much for your sweet words. You made my day! Ron and I usually have a night each month at least, that we sit and listen to all our old music together. It is so fun remembering where we were at whenever a certain song was popular. You are such a romantic! Thank you for that! <3

      • What a wonderful evening’s entertainment that must be, Colleen.

I have a friend who visits from London quite often and we love to go through old photograph albums from the late 1980’s and 1990’s when we were all living and working in London. It brings back so many happy memories and we have a great time talking about it all and trying to work out what happened to many of the other people who appear in the photos.

        • That sounds like fun! Being in the military all those years caused us to lose track of so many friends. I have tried to find many on social media, but no luck. Great memories! <3

  8. Very lovely 4 word expressions of love.

  9. Lovely post, Colleen. Love your poetic touch. 🙂 <3

  14. well deserved – congratulations – always the best!!

  15. Great idea Colleen 😀

  16. Colleen, first of all: This quote is amazing. It is completely true!!! Wow! And then I admire you too, for being able to put your love statements into four word sentences… Great and so love-ly!
