I am the Sun – bringer of the warming light of day. I am Lightning – bringer of fire to Earth. I am Tlachtga who flew through the sky together with my father Mog Ruith in our glowing wheel. I am destruction and creation. I illuminate the darkness and point to the pathway of light…
Such a lovely space there, Colleen. <3 Van
Thank you, Van. It was rough when we moved here a couple years ago. It is growing nicely now. 😊
Gorgeous. I’m with Hugh, I love the tropical ginger although I’d happily adopt any o f them. Here today rainy and rather cold…
I was really excited about that ginger. When it gets bigger I will update with a new photo. It is hot as Hades here. We have to mow the lawn tomorrow. I have to redo some landscaping rocks around a tree and that will be it for me. Enjoy your coolness, Olga. <3
Your garden looks lush. Thanks for the pictures. 🙂
You are so welcome. 💖😊
Beautiful colors! 🙂
Thank you Kat. 💖
Beautiful! My garden is starting to come out. Mostly green still, but the buds are coming.
That sounds lovely Michelle. 💖😊
Nice!
Thanks! 💖😊
Beautiful garden, you two! Good watering work, Ron. Our daylillies are up and thick in our backyard, Colleen, but not quite blooming. Ours are the yellow variety. I quite enjoy your lovely strawberry hue. <3.
Thanks, Mark. I have some yellow daylilies too. It has been so hot and humid. Everything is growing like crazy! 😎💗
Not so hot here, but our yard is bursting forth. We had a few days of rain, Colleen, and when the sun came out today, BAM! I had to mow a day ahead of plans. <3
No rain for us. Mowing on Tuesday. It should rain then! LOL!
Yep. On schedule. My golf league is supposed to start (again) tomorrow at 5:45, same time as the storms are forecast. Oy, Colleen.
LOL Mark! Good luck! 😁
Great new blog look to go with the beautiful garden Colleen. Tropical Ginger looks a magnificent bloom.
Thank you, Hugh! This was my first time growing the ginger. It gets huge leaves later in the summer. I have a nice shady place for it. It was so hot today! The humidity was overwhelming this morning during my walk. The poor doggie girls were ready to come home and snooze after their waltz around the block! LOL. I finally sprang for the fancy blog package. I want to showcase my book on here later in the autumn so when I renewed my domain name I went for it! I am glad you like it. <3
Oh dear. Both Toby and myself hate it when the humidity comes. Fortunately it doesn’t always come to our shores but when it does it’s usually during the height of Summer. London was the worse place for it. As we have no conditioning in most houses in the UK, it meant very rarely being able to sleep at night.
I look forward to seeing the progress of the garden over the coming months. How is the book coming along? I see exciting times ahead for you.
I start writing again this week. My Tabitha read it and loved it. She said she wants more. I am ready to get back at it now. No more company coming that I know of. 💖
What an amazingly beautiful and exotic garden! I especially like the photo of the garden hose, watering the plants 🙂
And your Sunday quote is perfect…It’s a sunny and slow Sunday for me here in NYC so I’m definitely heeding your wonderful quote’s advice !
Cheers!
*Lia
My sweet Ron was holding the hose for me. It is a hot, sticky day here in Florida. I am so glad I could share some of that beauty with you Lia! Have a wonderful rest of your day. Happy Sunday! <3
Colleen – let your day filled with million rosses – here is one my songs Lyrics:
Like the breeze gently unmatched.
Like a flower bending in the breeze
Bend with me, sway with ease
When we dance you have a way with me
Feeling like a feather in the breeze
Mihran, that is absolutely beautiful! I just subscribed to your Youtube so I can hear more of your lovely music. Thank you for making my day. <3
This is really pretty Colleen 🙂
Thank you, Yecheilyah. It was amazingly hot and humid this morning, but the plants love it! <3
You have an amazing garden! Beauties all over surrounding the most precious flower of Pensacola: Colleen! 💗
Lucile, thank you for your compliments. The colors are outstanding this year. It has been very warm since April. I think that has much to do with it. I am so glad that you enjoyed my garden. My Ron was a sweetie and did the watering this morning. He called me outside to show how all the blooms had burst open. <3
Beautiful, Colleen! I love that climate with these huge flowers with their big petals… to die for!
Thanks, Erika. Everything is spectacular this year. So lovely. I think it is because we got hot so quickly. It is going to be in the 90’s this week! I love the colors vibrant! <3
You know what? We were already in the 90’s last week… 😀 Loved it!
Wow! At 6 AM this morning is was 76 degrees F., with 94% humidity! I almost drown on my walk this morning! LOL!
That’s wonderful!!! I can only imagine how wonderful it is at a place like Florida. It must be like paradise. The humidity keeps everything wet and therefore growing!
Our hot summers are much like your cold winters. We stay inside some of the time because of the extreme temperatures. Every place has something I guess.
That’s really funny but I can really understand! At least you have less to shovel… lol
