I have been selected by Jennifer Nichole Wells to participate in the 5 photos – 5 days challenge. What does this mean for you, dear readers?

The challenge rules: “Post a photo each day for five consecutive days, and tell a story about each photo.  The story can be truth or fiction, poetry or prose.  Each day one must also nominate a fellow blogger to participate in the challenge.”

All I need in this simple existence –

is a place where inspiration can flow from me

like gentle rain spatters on a roof during a summer storm.

I want to feel the words spring forth from

the deepest recesses in my soul,

only shadowing the

of the view

before me.

Today, I would like to ask Dorne, from Write Dorne to accompany me on this written photo journey. Dorne and I met last year as new bloggers. We have been fast friends ever since. I can’t wait to see what she will come up with next!

Thanks for the visit. I’ll see you next time,

  1. This is absolutely beautiful. I’m inspired to hit my keyboard, and I don’t want to stop until I’ve poured everything out of my soul – at least for today 😀 Thanks for sharing. The poem is stunning ❤

  2. This is lovely Colleen. I love the angle of your shot with the three separate and distinct space, each with its own charm. The light through your Philo is particularly evocative. A lovely vignette, and a great place to begin a story … So happy you have agreed to come to the challenge! WG

  3. Such a beautiful photo, and the poem is perfect. We all need a place like that. I’m glad I took the time today to catch up on my reader. I’ve been so busy I’ve neglected it for too long.

      1. My smiles have turned to tears now, and I hope some day I’ll be able to find them again. Thank you for your prayers for Logan and the rest of us. He was such a sweet young man, but so troubled in spirit.
