Writer’s Quote Wednesday – Pure Inspiration

Welcome!  This is an open invitation to join in on my blogging event called, Writer’s Quote Wednesday.  This is your chance to highlight your favorite author’s quotes that give inspiration to you as a writer. Do you feel like your writing is getting stale? Are you looking for inspiration to keep writing? Then you have come to right spot!

All you have to do is find your favorite quote. Find something that truly speaks to you. This does not have to pertain just to writing. It can be any kind of quote as long as it made an impact on you. Then, write a post and include your quote.

There are no rules to follow.  Either create your own sayings (because after all, we are all writer’s here) or use a quote from a famous author that you find gives you inspiration.  Just make sure that credit is given for other’s work.  You can use Fotoflexer or Picmonkey, or any other program that you wish to make your own images. Click the links to go to the programs.

Be ready to take part with videos and words, photos, and any other media you care to share.  I would love to hear some quotes spoken or even sung! Please make sure and give credit to the author of the quote. If it is an image quote you found on the internet, please say where you found it.

Each Wednesday, I will post the prompt and all you have to do is take part! You have from that Wednesday until the following Monday night to post your quotes. That will give me time to do a weekly wrap up and the new quote for the following week.  On Tuesday, I will post a Weekly Recap of the past week’s quotes with links back to your blogs.

I will share your images on social media for added exposure.  Copy the badge above and include it on your own post.

Tag your post on your own blog as “Writer’s Quote Wednesday,” so we can find the posts in the reader. I am sorry if I left anyone off last week. Please tag your posts so that I can find you. ❤

On your own blog post do a ping-back to this post and make sure to “like” or “comment” on everyone else’s post.  A ping-back is when you embed (or copy) the HTTP:// address of my weekly prompt into your own blog post.

Make sure to check my weekly prompt (this post) to see if your entry is there.  You can copy the HTTP:// address of your blog post and include it in the comments section of my original weekly prompt if that works better for you.

My quote this week is just pure inspiration! It is about not letting go of your hopes and dreams. It is about perseverance and patience. It is about opposites and how we need both in order to move forward. The same can be said for our writing journey, as well as our life journey.

Don’t give up! Just keep writing!

Thanks for visiting with me today. I sure enjoyed seeing all of you. Don’t forget to share a quote that got to you this week… or else you will have to help me fold the laundry!

          1. Two weeks today and no one has come to see it. Our RE agent says it is priced right and has been viewed on the internet over 315 times… hopefully this open house will do the trick. X X X Crossed fingers! LOL!

      1. I’ve been taking a bit of a break from my usual blogging activities Colleen as I’ve been up in Edinburgh enjoying all the festivals, and being with my mum and dad. I’ve written several blog posts about my trip but after I’ve finished writing these no doubt I’ll settle back to doing my more regular blogging activities 🙂

  1. Colleen, I’m glad I took the time to comment because your quote “Stars can’t shine without darkness” made my jaw drop. Why? Because I just wrote my own little saying that I plan on posting soon on Petals that is exactly the same but with different words. Now if that is not a sign we were not meant to cross paths, I don’t know what is! And as for retiring …. *sighs* …. to be able to focus on my Talents …. not yet. I’m still a wee bit occupied …..
LOVE LOVE LOVE your blog. The “energy” here IS of a fairy! GRIN! Takes one to know one! LOL And in closing, wishing I could get involved with so much of what my WP friends are doing. As with you and what you are doing. Someday …. someday ….. Dreams really DO come true!! LOL I look forward in getting to know you better!!! Love, Amy ❤

    1. Amy Rose, what a lovely message! Thank you so much. I love my fairies and somehow they find me wherever I go. It is a certain energy that I seem to pick up on… you too? I am so pleased to meet you. I retired early to fulfil my dream of writing full time. Hang in there. Your time will come. Work hard and prepare as much as you can. Set your priorities and write when you can. You will learn so much from all the writers and bloggers on WP. This is a great community and I am glad that we found each other! ❤ Stop by and visit my blog when you can. We are all busy, I know. ❤

      1. LOL I’ve been blogging for 3 years, Colleen. I’m not a newbie. You are making me laugh. Seriously. The words come to me no matter where I am so I write. Writing is secondary to my photography. And as for retiring … I will retire when the special needs cats I love and care for “graduate from college”. Yes to Fairies. They find me oh believe you me! LOL 😉 ❤

  2. Good morning Colleen. I haven’t yet had (quality) time to visit you and comment although I had seen the quote and used the link for my blog’s pingback. I’d rather wait and come back later than just leave a like.
This quote is simply fantastic. Its message is clear and deeply reminds us of the basic truth of our existence. Thanks!
    Have a lovely Sunday. ❤

    1. Thanks so much, Lucile. I recently got rid of all the emails and am using the reader exclusively. I end up going to everyone’s blog that comment and interact. This has been working well. I am glad that you check in with me. I do love that quote. Thanks for coming by. No emails = zero stress. 💗

      1. You’re so welcome, Colleen. I got rid of e-mails notifications a long time ago too.
I am not yet managing the reader well because I never find my preferred blogs, because of the time differences and have to go to their blogs anyways. I am thinking about subscribing to their blogs via e-mail as I will have always their latest posts at hand, instead of scrolling down the reader.
You are a triple A blogger (according to Hugh’s advice) so I will always be here, even if with delay of miss a week of your challenge. There will never be any other reason but lack of quality time.
