Welcome! This is an open invitation to join in on my blogging event called, “Writer’s Quote Wednesday” and Ronovan Writes’ event called, “BeWoW” or “Be Writing on Wednesday.” This is your chance to highlight your favorite author’s quotes that give inspiration to you as a writer. Do you feel like your writing is getting stale? Are you looking for inspiration to keep writing? Then you have come to right spot!
Are you ready to join in?
All you have to do is find your favorite quote. Find something that truly speaks to you. This does not have to pertain just to writing. It can be any kind of quote as long as it made an impact on you. Then, write a post and include your quote.
There are no rules to follow. Either create your own sayings (because after all, we are all writer’s here) or use a quote from a famous author that you find gives you inspiration. Just make sure that credit is given for other’s work. You can use Fotoflexer or Picmonkey, or any other program that you wish to make your own images. Click the links to go to the programs.
Fellow blogger, Sacha Black has an excellent tutorial on how to make photo-quote images. Click here to learn how to make exciting images with your own photos and how to add words.
Each Wednesday, I will post the prompt and all you have to do is take part! You have from that Wednesday until the following Monday night to post your quotes. I will share your images on social media for added exposure. Beginning this week, as part of the Writer’s Quote Wednesday post, I will include the links to the blogs that took part in last week’s post. Time is of the essence in my writing and I find that I need every spare minute I can squeeze out of the day. I no longer have the time to do a separate post for the Wrap-up.
Copy the badge above and include it on your own post. Tag your post on your own blog as “Writer’s Quote Wednesday,” so we can find the posts in the reader. On your own blog post do a ping-back to THIS post and make sure to “like” or “comment” on everyone else’s post. (A pingback is when you embed (or copy) the HTTP:// address of my weekly prompt into your own blog post).
Make sure to check my weekly prompt (this post) to see if your entry is there. You can copy the HTTP:// address of your blog post and include it in the comments section of my original weekly prompt if that works better for you.
Since Ronovan, from Ronovan Writes and I have joined forces he has been linking his #BeWoW blog share (Be Wonderful on Wednesday) now to include: Be Writing on Wednesday. If you would like to combine both posts, feel free to do so and link them to my post. I will make sure and add you to the quote wrap-up I do each Tuesday. Please make sure and check out Ron’s blog for more writing inspiration and motivation!

This week, I must dedicate #WQW to Alan Rickman, of Harry Potter fame. His passing leaves another empty hole in my heart for a fine actor. His portrayal of Severus Snape will always be firmly rooted in my mind… “Always!”

I’m sad to say that I’ve never seen Alan Rickman in anything but Harry Potter. This is a dreadful oversight which I am going to rectify! Until after the part where Severus Snape died, I nursed dislike and distrust of his character. I cried when I found out the truth, and wonder how often in our lives we misjudge those around us? Inside that character was a heart that was breaking. And no-one but Dumbledore knew it. :'(
I don’t think anyone caught my ending of the quote… “always…” That is what Snape said about loving Potter’s mother. Ah, I love the way J.K. Rowling thinks, don’t you? <3
I do indeed! ♥

I first took notice of Alan Rickman in ‘Die Hard’ as Hans Gruber. I was fascinated by him. I also loved him in ‘Harry Potter’. He was entertaining to watch. I like the quote. Nice homage! 🙂
Thanks, Vashti! I loved his voice! 💖
YES! But for some reason listening to him speak always made me hungry. Ha, ha! Don’t ask . . .
Ha, ha! You’re the best, Vashti😂❤️
What a perfect time for me to join in on Writer’s Quote Wednesday. I was a huge Alan Rickman fan (it was inevitable since Harry Potter is practically my childhood) and I always wished to meet Alan one day. You also chose the same quote I did on my Instagram to honor his passing. Great minds 😉
I am a Potter-Head too, although quite a bit older than you. 😉 Alan Rickman’s voice always got me! I loved it. Thanks for joining in! <3
Potterheads unite!! 😀
I so agree! 😀 <3

So many artists died this week. I chose another one for my post.

So many heartbreaking losses already this year. I think my favorite role of his was Love Actually.
I have not seen that! I must look that one up. I loved him as Snape. He was just the ultimate good/bad character you had to love because he was so bad! LOL! <3
I agree, he was so adaptable.
Love Actually is a romcom through and through and I loved him in it! He’s adorable and funny and I loved seeing his versatility as an actor. That’s my second favorite role of his. Definitely worth a checking out!
I will do that! Thanks! <3

Great quote, Colleen. I don’t know him from the Harry Potter films, but I’ve always loved his work. One of my favourite quotes of his is ‘I am the character you are not supposed to like’ – I think this is true of so many of his roles because, even when playing a villain, he had the ability to draw your right in! <3
I love that, Mel and it fits him perfectly! If you ever have the chance to see the Harry Potter films, I hope you watch them. He is extraordinary as Snape. I will miss him, dearly. <3
I’ll definitely get around to it – there are a number of performances I would like to see 😀
Me too… if I can find the time. LOL! <3

Thanks so much, Colleen. Sad to see Alan Rickman go. It’s been a bad beginning of the year.
Thanks, Olga. It is sad. He was amazing! ❤️
It is so sad that Alan Rickmann passed away so early. Daniel Radcliff said on social media how much of a supporting man he was. I think I need to read Harry Potter again :-). Not that I have any time for it. Never mind. Thanks for the shout out and here is my quote for today: http://beehalton.com/2016/01/writers-quote-wednesday-20jan16-maya.html
Bee, I love Harry Potter! He was cast in the perfect part. An amazing man. ❤️
Indeed he was 🙂
Rickman was an amazing actor in so many different genres. My daughter adored him from the Harry Potter movies. Just a day before he died she said that he should make another movie…. so sad!
I agree. We have lost many bright stars this year. 😕❤️
Sad truth!
It’s so strange. They always seem to leave us in groups. Maybe they find each other going to the next realm? <3
Yes, now that you say that. I thought the same lately. Like soul mates taking each other by the hand.
