RonovanWrites #Weekly #Haiku #Poetry Prompt #Challenge #86 Flash & Dance

Ronovan’s words for this week’s haiku inspiration are “flash and dance.” I used ‘glimmer’ for flash and let the word ‘dance’ stand by itself. I really had to pause because I immediately got a vision of a flash dance in my head…

O.K. well, maybe not! Anyway, here is my contribution for the week called,

“A Glimmer of Hope.”

A glimmer of hope –

nature’s last dance with winter,

brings balmy spring rains.

I am patiently waiting for springtime in the mountains. Our lawn is mostly brown but I see a hint of green at the roots. Rain is predicted for Sunday! I am excited to see how our Colorado blooms in the spring! BRING it ON!

Thanks for stopping by. I enjoyed seeing you all!

  1. Yup. Seeing those two words makes me think of the cheesy 80s movie Flashdance. 😂 “She’s a manic!”

You turned that image around. Beautiful haiku.

    1. No spring for me yet. Here in Colorado it is still quite chilly and cold at night. I hope to see spring soon! That day lily photo is from last year when we lived in Florida! 😀

    1. I have been writing hard all week. I am taking off today at 1:00 to walk the dogs and myself. Tomorrow, I am going to enjoy the warmth and the sun! I am so ready for spring! 😀

    1. Thanks, Roz. We have had a couple of big blizzards our first year in Colorado. We are 6,000 ft. up in elevation. I am looking forward to some rain and the greening of the prairies against the backdrop of the mountains! 😀

      1. I’m sure they will. But I’m tired of snow…
Oh, by the way… Party at my place on Saturday for the Story Reading Ape. Spontaneous thing, but it came together nicely. Hope to see you there. Hugs!

        1. We are high up in the Rocky Mountains. Lots of open plains and huge mountains. 6,000 Feet up. It will be fun to see everything turn green. As long as we get the moisture we need that is. I will share pictures when I can. Your spring sounds lovely.
