Fairies and Fairy Orbs

“In the Beauty of the World lies the ultimate redemption of our mortality. When we shall become at one with nature in a sense profounder even than the poetic imaginings of most of us, we shall understand what now we fail to discern.” – FIONA MACLEOD.

Do you believe in fairies, or have you ever seen one?

I am convinced that ever since my encounter with a swamp fairy in Florida (you can read about that here) my fairy vision has increased. I have heard it said that once you see a fairy, your belief in them intensifies, and now, I can say I concur.

I see fairies, or maybe I should say I feel and hear them through my heart, and not always with my eyes. It is a feeling – belonging to a sacred and ancient energy or psychic vibration. I consider this ability to be a gift from nature itself. It is through my dreams I feel their presence the most. The fae responds to those of us who can feel the vibrations of nature.

Yesterday, I bought a solar powered fairy for my garden. I set the small statue in the sun to charge up the battery. I waited until it was dark and placed the statue on my pub table. Once I turned on the switch the fairy globe sparkled with an iridescent intensity. I stood, mesmerized by the beauty of the lights as they flashed on the ceiling. I decided to take a small video to share with my granddaughter.

You can imagine my surprise when a fairy orb appeared as I was filming. In the video, you will see a tiny green dot that hovers over the fairy and then disappears, only to reappear again at the end. I am not kidding you when I tell you that the fairies are always near to me. My life and writing have been enriched by their presence.

The fairy orbs I see are usually green in color. I figure the orbs are fairy auras. I see them because I have unlocked my heart to the presence of magic. My senses and telepathy are at work here. Depending on how open you are to the possibilities of seeing fairies, you will see them if you open your heart. Here is a fantastic article about fairy circles or orbs and digital photography.

Many folks believe the orbs are spirits of deceased relatives. I would never discount that phenomenon. We must consider that just because the scientific community hasn’t proven the experience, doesn’t mean the experience is not real. I am open to all possibilities. All I know is that I felt peaceful and happy after the orb appeared.

Now, watch my video again. The fairy orb moves and hovers over the statue. If the orb was a piece of dust caught in the lens of the camera, it would drift in the air currents in the room. Yet, my orb appears and disappears always coming closer to the fairy statue…

Fairy lore has been with us since the beginning of time. Of great interest to me is how the belief in the fairies seems to resurge during times of cultural and environmental upheaval. Fairies, like humans, are bound to nature. I have a theory that the fairies or little people appear to humans to emphasize that we must protect sacred areas of the earth. At least that is my interpretation. You will have to make your own assumptions.

As I write this post, the President of the United States is signing an executive order dismantling climate change legislation from the previous administration. Coincidence? I think not. The fairies know that we humans are affecting changes in the environment that we might not be able to reverse in the future.

The tiny, green orb is present near the plant in this picture at the right of the fairy’s wings.

There are many different types of fairies, and I have also been visited by the púca. My swamp fairy sighting was that of a puca. These are the fairy shapeshifters from Celtic folklore. They appear to me initially in the form of a bird and then transform into their natural fairy appearance of a tiny figure clothed in leaves and twigs. They always resemble the natural flora and fauna of where I have seen them.

This video shares my belief that birds and fairies are connected:

The idea of mummified remains and the fairy skeleton’s similarity to birds never entered my mind. However, if the artifacts are real, that would explain how they fly. It also makes sense that fairies exist in our realm.

Now that you’ve seen the evidence… what do you think?

  1. I watched your video and saw the blue lights even before I saw that you wrote about it. The video about the fairies was amazing but the skeletons were creepy! Anyway, It is breathtaking and I definitely believe in natural spirits. You are blessed to be in touch with them, Colleen!

      1. Colleen, this is magical. So wonderful! A connection to birds, butterflies, and leaves, I guess. At least to tell from the way they appear on paintings and in the video. Probably depending on what kind of fairy it is. But however, it is pure magic and a gift to be in touch 💖

I have always been a believer of beings that we can’t always see so I’m open to believing in fairies. I noticed the orbs or lights in your video right away. And your fairy light is beautiful! It looks so magical. I’m sure your granddaughter will love it!!! 🙂

  3. I totally believe as you know. I have seen faeries and believe that there are different species and that the sidhe are taller than us where the little ones are plant or bird faeries. Beautiful article, Colleen. That is definitely an orb, the way it moves proves it. xx

      1. Yes, Colleen, I totally believe that they are trying to get as many people now as they can to help, your book was amazing in that retrospect. We can achieve victories against those that would destroy the natural earth for profit. xx

  4. When I was writing Tales from the Garden and the fairies who lived under the magnolia tree I found my self in areas of the garden that I would not normally spend time in.. there would always be a lone flower or a butterfly and one time I found a statue that was hidden under a bunch of ivy. It seemed that someone wanted to show me all the secrets in their realm. Our new garden is so overgrown they are going to have their work cut out for them but as I start writing the next book I am sure I will in for an interesting time.

  5. A couple of weeks ago, quite by chance, I found myself in conversation with a lady who knew a friend of a friend of my mother’s. The lady was working as a reiki practitioner and it was this that sparked our conversation. It turns out that she is a retired astrophysicist – a proper, full-on scientist! – and adamant about the existence of fairies, telling me that there is much about quantum physics that offers strong proof to support her belief. I have always had an open mind about such things (my mum is a spiritualist) and have had numerous experiences, particularly as a child and in early teenage. Just recently I seem to be stumbling across all manner of things fairy and think perhaps they might be trying to get my attention, so couldn’t help but comment here today.

  6. Hello Colleen! What an enchanting post! When I saw your video on FB I was so excited and happy for you and delighted that you shared it. That second video is amazing. Like you, the thought of mummified fairy remains never entered my mind. Mind blown! ❤ xx

  7. I have to say I have seen some strange things which I have no way of explaining…. and like you Colleen one of these single inexplicable experiences has developed into the theme for a story idea. Until now I have never seen a fairy but that doesn’t mean it might never happen! I am intrigued by your videos and your experience Colleen. 🙂

  8. I believe a variety of nonphysical entities manifest as orbs. I used to take Millie to a dog training class and one Christmas the trainers gave a party for all of us. My friend took photos and when he uploaded them on his computer later they all had orbs on them. When he enlarged the images, dogs’ faces were clearly visible in the orbs, even the ones that were nowhere near the canine party guests. An orb above my head clearly showed the face of a dog I’d lost the previous year. I think those orbs contained the faces of spirit dogs who wanted to come to the party!

  9. Wow Colleen, that was awesome seeing the tiny orb encircling your globe fairy! As you know I was taken by a green orb while in Arizona that continued to circle my feet in a photo, no matter how many times we took it over. I do believe my friend and am always fascinating by such things as fairies, orbs, etc. Great learning from you the fairy whisperer! ❤

  10. Just seen this post over on Flipboard, Colleen. I saw the Orb before you mentioned it. I recorded a video recently and had an orb appear in it. The room was empty at the time and the orb came from the top right corner, hovered right in front of the camera for a while, and then zoomed off. I could not believe it when I played it back and saw it there. I’ve also captured a few on photos. I certainly believe in them.

      1. That’s so kind, thank you, Colleen. I’m really enjoying Flipboard and am seeing a steady flow of traffic from it. I much prefer it to Pinterest, but that’s probably because I never really understood or worked out how Pinterest works.

I only started seeing Orbs after my Grandmother died in 1995. I don’t see them very often, but they are fascinating subjects. Recording one is amazing, and I’ve flipped this post onto my Flipboard account. Happy ‘flipping.’💛
