About Colleen M. Chesebro

Colleen M. Chesebro is an American Novelist & Poet who loves writing paranormal fantasy and magical realism, cross-genre fiction, syllabic poetry, and creative nonfiction. She loves all things magical which may mean that she could be experiencing her second childhood—or not. That part of her life hasn’t been fully decided yet. A few years ago, a mystical experience led her to renew her passion for writing and storytelling. These days she resides in the fantasy realm of the Faery Writer where she writes the magical poetry and stories that the fairy nymphs whisper to her in her dreams. Colleen won the “Little and Laugh” Flash Fiction Contest sponsored by the Carrot Ranch Literary Community on November 2017, and in 2018, she won first place for the “Twisted Travel” category. Colleen lives in Arizona with her husband. When she is not writing, Colleen enjoys spending time with her husband. She also loves gardening, reading, and crocheting old-fashioned doilies into works of art. Learn more about Colleen on colleenchesebro.com.

  2. Lovely haiku, Colleen. Spring has already left us here – we are into summer!

  3. Nice Haiku. Here things are in the process of springing this week. I hope yours is not far behind. <3

  4. A lovely haiku, Colleen. I am really enjoying The Heart Stone Chronicles.

  5. Sorry spring has not sprung for you yet, Colleen. One of my FB friends posted a video of the thunder snow they got there a few days ago.
Lovely photo, but I guess you would think it’s lovelier if it happened a few months ago.

  6. Hope the weather is more kind to you Colleen. Lovely haiku my friend. 🙂

  7. Snow? I must say, that would NOT have me smiling these days. Although, your haiku DID bring a smile to my heart.

    • Yeah, actually we didn’t get that much snow. Only 3 inches maybe. It was the wind that was crazy. So, last night at 2:02 a.m. we start hearing a beep! One of the smoke detector batteries had worn out. It wouldn’t quit – they are all wired to the house. So, out Ron went to Walmart for batteries… Needless to say, between the wind howling and the dang smoke detectors we didn’t sleep very well. But, it is kind of funny! (Eye-roll) 😀

  8. Love the picture, but sooo glad that its not out my backdoor 🙂

    • LOL! Yup… a storm blew into Colorado Springs Friday night and through yesterday. Most of the snow went south of us. Yes! The winds howled and the little bit of snow we did get is covered in a dirty grime! The sun is out today and by next weekend we will be 75 degrees. Fingers crossed. <3
