COLLEEN’S #TANKA TUESDAY #POETRY CHALLENGE, “Praise & Excite,” NO. 88 – RECAP, #SYNONYMSONLY
Welcome to the Tanka Tuesday Poetry Recap featuring the poetry from poets around the globe. If you would like to participate in this challenge, you can learn the rules on the menu item called Colleen’s Weekly Tanka Tuesday Guidelines.
Each week, I like to highlight a poet who I call the Poet of the Week, who has shared an exceptional message, or shown an impassioned creativity through words or form. Poetry is all about perception, so don’t be shocked if you don’t feel the same way about a poem that I do. ❤
Tanka poems are usually more serious but this poem caught my eye because it’s funny! One way to tell if your Tanka poem is “good” is to read it backward. If it still makes sense you know you have achieved poetic success.
This poem stands alone with no additional images needed. Your imagination does all the work for you. I dare you not to laugh at the ending! 😀
She’d receive applause
Many found her delightful
Others were annoyed
Not everyone pulls it off
