How to Build a Sacred Altar For Meditation and Spiritual Practice ⋆ LonerWolf

Space has power. It either resonates with you, or it doesn’t. Like everything in life, the spaces around us are imbued with energy. Have you ever walked into a room of people and felt the energy to be heavy, stressful or suffocating? In contrast, you might have walked into a temple or religious chapel and felt the very air vibrate with hope, praise or reverence. Intuitively we sense that everything is energy, and everything vibrates at a certain frequency. While some vibrations are heavy and dense (these are associated with negative emotions like anxiety and hatred), other vibrations are light

  • Colleen, this is a wonderful post and I took the Myers-Briggs in college. I am an ENFJ (Idealist). They now have these Archetypes online for free (Myers-Briggs) and it is interesting to see your personality type in a very literal way. I have never made a special space that is for a sacred altar and mediation, but after reading this post…I am going to see if I can do just that! 🙂

    • I first took the test when I worked for an accounting firm. I’m an INFJ and got along well the other three INFJ’s (all male accountants). I have an altar which I put together the last year or so. Mine is dedicated to my faery path. I have a statue of Kwan Yin to represent my Buddhist path too. It all flows and gives me confidence. Add the things that bring you joy. ❤

      • Colleen, thank you. An Idealist (ENFJ) and a Perfectionist are very similar with only about 5% of the US who are one or the other. I, too, relate to the faery path with a little bit of a slightly psychic white witch thrown in. I am still working on finishing my first draft of a romantic time-slip white witch novel, “A Midnight Spell”. When this is done, I plan to go back to pure fantasy. I also bought one of your books, “The Heart Stone Chronicles” and I want the faery one too. I have recently had eye surgery and so, It has been months that I couldn’t read or write much at all. I have a long list of books, mostly my author friends, who I believe are the best writers. Thanks again for your wonderful informative and always lovely posts. Karen 🙂

        • Karen, you take care of yourself. I need to make some updates to the Swamp fairy as I have an editor now. It was my first book and I’ve come so much farther in my writing. It’s not perfect but I wrote it from my heart. I’m so happy we’ve found each other. You are a such a delight. ❤️

          • Colleen…me too…I am so glad we found each other. You are a godsend, believe me. I was one lost faery and white (herbal) witch for a very long time. Although, I haven’t really learned that much about faeries. I have learned a great deal about white witchcraft over many years and dozens of books. White witches really relate well with faeries. Colleen, I know I will love you books. Karen 🙂
