“Spring Again,” #haiku, #NaPoWritMo

Well… I blew it! I missed yesterday for my Poem-a-Day practice along with NaPoWritMo. But I have the best excuse. It was a beautiful day, and I spent much of it outside with my husband enjoying the weather. Sometimes it’s better to live in the moment. So, I offer two haiku today to catch up.

My neighborhood has exploded with blossoms! My friend Ruth looked up what kind of tree this is… (I did not know). Apparently, it’s a Bradford Pear. These lovely trees line each side of the street.

After this week’s warmth, we return to a more seasonal pattern. And, at long last, we finally have an appointment on April 15th, for our first Covid shots!

    1. Thanks, Pat. I’m not looking forward to the shots. I always have a sore arm and swelling. But this is so important. I was worried we wouldn’t get one for awhile. Michigan is not doing well with Covid.

  1. Congratulations on enjoying spring, the two poems (especially the second), and your vaccine. Woo hoo!
I didn’t have any problems with the first shot–not even a sore arm. Second vaccine my arm was very sore, but I wasn’t in pain, if that makes sense, and I was very tired–but just for a day. Husband was fine when he got his–just a sore arm for a day.

  2. Always follow your instincts. And I’m glad you’re getting your shot. My younger daughter was finally eligible and got her first shot last week. Both girls have been careful, but it will be a relief to have both of them vaccinated. (K)
