Michelle’s Weekly Pet Challenge–Sugar and Spice

Sugar and Spice missed last week because their Mom had too much to do and she did not share their weekly snooze fests.  They missed seeing all the smiles that their pictures bring.  I promised both of them that I would share their photos this week.

Spice says “hello” from her favorite chair with the velvet blankets.

Meanwhile, Sugar was snoozing in the living room while Mom watched her British mysteries.

Sugar has been doing well taking her insulin.  She now comes to me after her breakfast or dinner and tells me she is ready for her shot!  Unbelievable for such a sweet soul to ask for her medicine.

Sugar and Spice would like to tell everyone to have a wonderful time with their families this holiday!

Happy T from Sugar Spice

Thanks for stopping by to see how the Pomeranian sisters are.  They will see you all again,

Guest Blogging Buddies

Blogging 201 offers up an interesting challenge:  Today’s assignment: find a blogging buddy. If appropriate, plan to publish guest posts on one another’s blogs.

In the last week I have published two guest posts on two different blogs:

My first was called, “Living in Paradise,”  on Deanna’s blog, Talk About Beauty.

My second was called, “The Art of Visual Haiku,” on Felicia’s blog, Thoughtful Minds United.

I really enjoyed being part of another writer’s world.  I know their audience is different from mine and I enjoyed the chance to spread my writer’s wings and travel to different destinations.  Guest posts are a way for you to share your trade and meet new friends.  It is also a way for the host blog to explore new venues.  Any way you look at it, a guest post is a win-win for everyone.

I have started a weekly challenge called Writer’s Quote Wednesday.  I received a lovely message from Lisa, of the blog, Rebirth of Lisa, with an excellent quote for my challenge.  Lisa said that she had started a challenge called, WCW:  Words Crush Wednesday.  I posted a quote for her challenge too.

See what just happened???  We made a connection and shared our world with someone else!

How wonderful is that?  I have seen this happen over and over again on WordPress.  Do not be afraid to participate in the different challenges that are offered by other bloggers.  You just might meet some wonderful new friends.  I know that I have! ❤

Thanks for the wonderful visit.  I can’t wait to see you all again!

This is an open invitation to join in on my blogging event called, Writer’s Quote Wednesday.  This is your chance to highlight your favorite author’s quotes that give inspiration to you as a writer.  By sharing your quotes, we will all gain insight and inspiration to propel us forward in our writing careers.

Writer's Quote Wednesday

There are no rules to follow.  Either make up your own sayings (because after all, we are all writer’s here) or use a quote from a famous author that you find gives you inspiration.  Just make sure that credit is given for other’s work.  You can use Fotoflexer or Picmonkey, or any other program that you wish to make your own images.

Each Wednesday, I will post the prompt and all you have to do is participate!  I will share your images on social media for added exposure.  On the weekly prompt I will include a list of contributors from the previous week so that other writers can gain inspiration from all your hard work.

On your own blog post do a ping back to this post and make sure to “like” or “comment” on everyone else’s post.  A ping back is when you embed (or copy)  the http:// address of my weekly prompt into your own blog post.

The Sun Bathers

petchallenge

2014-10-20 10.06.54

Sugar and Spice have been enjoying the sun on the patio this week.  It suddenly got warm and humid all over again so they like chilling out and relaxing before Halloween.  They get upset during Trick or Treat, so Mom hands out candy, and Dad stays inside with them watching T.V.

Have a safe TRICK OR TREAT and remember to watch out for your pets so that they don’t get into the candy!  Sugar and Spice ask that you visit puplife.com for some safety tips:

Quarterly Blog Boogie

Almost a month ago, Hugh, of Hugh’s Views and News, featured Silver Threading in his “Blog Hop.”  I had never heard the term before, and I was not familiar with it at all.  However, once I read his fabulous post I quickly understood where he was going.  Hugh was taking us on a virtual blog sightseeing tour of the most extraordinary!  His mission was to highlight fellow bloggers that he enjoyed reading to the rest of the WordPress Community. I want to thank Hugh for his kindness, friendship, and humor.  Hugh, you make blogging fun!

Because of Hugh’s wonderful Blog Hop idea, I would like to do a quarterly “Blog Boogie” on Silver Threading where I showcase some bloggers and their blogs that have caught my eye. What a great idea to get to know each other!

BLOG Boogie

So grab your platform shoes, jump into some bell-bottom jeans, and get ready to party!  We’re off to visit some great blogs!

First let’s boogie on over to From the Sticks to the Bricks and Back Again.

Lynne Brown(Photo credit: Twitter)

Lynne says:

“I’m a writer who doesn’t write.  My life is a case study in procrastination. I am a work-in-progress. I’m the favorite aunt, a Citizen Teacher, a kick-ass baker, and a political junkie who earns a living in commercial real estate.  My musings run the gamut from social commentary, the Red Sox, Boston, New England, #CRE, the state of education in our country and anything else that flies across my radar.”

I find Lynne’s humor and enthusiasm for life to be contagious.  We met during our Blogging 101 and Writing 101 classes here on WordPress.  Check out her blog. She makes me laugh with her writing and I know you will  love it too!

Next let’s boogie on over to Writing Dorne – Putting Life into Words.

Dornea (Photo Credit: Writing Dorne – Putting Life into Words)

Wait, hang on a minute while I fix my platform shoes… all this boogie fever has me tripping!

70's (Image credit: Fun Wirks)

Dorne was one of my very first followers!  I am so glad that she found me way back in May.  I enjoy reading about her life in England.  Dorne is from the outskirts of Scarborough in North Yorkshire, in the United Kingdom.

When you visit her blog it makes you feel like you are meeting with a good friend you have known for a long time.  Dorne  is a freelance writer and writes non-fiction articles for magazines.  She writes for “Dogs Monthly,” and has written for “The Dalesman” magazine, along with many other periodicals in the U.K.

I hope you enjoyed my Blog Boogie for this quarter which ends October 31st.  I know you will enjoy meeting Lynne and Dorne.

Thanks for stopping by.  I look forward to our next visit if these platform shoes don’t kill me first,

Sugar and Spice in Montana

0724091853

This is a picture of Spice and Sugar when we lived in Montana.  They are Pomeranians and I wanted to show them with their full coats.  We keep them trimmed living here in Florida for the obvious reasons… too hot for all that fur!  Last week some folks were wondering what breed they were.

Pomeranians have two coats.  They are well suited to the cold winters of Germany.  They are actually miniature Spitz bred down in size to become their own breed.  You can learn more about them at  AKC-Get to Know the Pomeranian.  They are little dogs with HUGE personalities! ❤ ❤
